Muzaffarnagar: Two minor girls were burnt alive and one sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out in a house at Rasulpur village in the district.
The bodies of two deceased aged four and six has been sent for postmortem while injured have rushed to hospital in serious condition.
The cause of fire is not yet known.
District authorities announced compensation to the victims’ family of Rs 4 lakh.
In another incident, a woman named Babita was burnt alive when her clothes caught fire when she was preparing lunch at Sahawli village in the district yesterday, police said.
