Two men allegedly raped a 29-year-old woman at gun point on May 30 outside Bhayander station in Mumbai.
The two men had called the girl on the pretext of giving her a job. Police claim that the girl was raped inside a car. She had completed a course in event management and was looking for a job.
The girl’s statement has been recorded and a case has been registered. No arrests have been made so far.
The police said that one of the two accused held the revolver on the woman’s head while the other allegedly raped her. However, police did not elaborate on whether the two were known to the woman or they had waylaid her.
After a medical examination of the woman, a case was registered against the duo under sections 376 (rape), 377 (unnatural offences), 506(2) rw 34 and also under sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act.
