Phagwara, march 21: Two people were killed and another injured in separate road accidents in Punjab.
Vijay Kumar, 13, of Palahai village died on the spot and Rohit, of the same village, was badly injured when a speeding jeep hit their cycle when they were returning home last night. The injured was admitted to a local civil hospital.
Police have registered a case in this regard. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested and the police has impounded the vehicle.
In another incident, a youth was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle on the National Highway near Chiherru between Phagwara and Jalandhar.
