Srinagar:A motorcylist and his pillion rider were killed today after being hit by a truck in the Shopian district of south Kashmir, police said.
Mohammad Amin Teli (48) and Aakash Ahmad Bhat were on a motorcycle near their village, Harmain, 55 kms from here, when a private truck rammed into the bike, a police official said.
The two men were taken to the district hospital in Shopian, where they were declared dead.
The official said efforts were on to trace the driver, who sped away from the spot in his truck after the collision.
A case has been registered, he said
