Cuddalore, December 23: Two people were crushed to death on the spot and one woman sustained severe injuries when they were knocked down by a speeding vehicle at Periyakattupalayam village on the Puducherry-Cuddalore highway today.
Police said the trio were travelling from Puducherry to cuddalore on a moped when the accident took place.
It was not known which vehicle had hit them and police had registered a hit and run case.
While R Kumar (32) and S Panneerselvam (30) were found dead on the spot, Ilavazhagi (35), who sustained serious injuries, was admitted to Puducherry Government Hospital.
