Ferozepur: A person was arrested today on charges of smuggling heroin and two kg of the contraband was seized from near the Sutlej river, the BSF said.
Jagtar Singh, a resident of Tapri village here, was arrested in a joint operation by the BSF and the Counter Intelligence, an official said.
In a search operation, later, four packets of heroin, weighing around 500 gram each, were found buried near an electric pole on the river’s bank, he said.
