2 injured in GNLF-GJM clash

Two persons were injured in a clash between GJM and GNLF cadre in Kalimpong area of Darjeeling Hills.

Police said the clash, which took place yesterday following a verbal tiff over pasting of posters. Which The posters called upon shopkeepers to down their shutters between 1 PM to 3 PM during the procession with the body of a slain GNLF student wing leader Bivek Rasaily.

The two injured, 35-year old Subash Ghatani and 45 year old Dinesh Pradhan, were referred to Siliguri for treatment.

Bivek Rasaily was stabbed to death on January 1 in a clash between two groups of picnickers in Tribeni.

The GNLF has demanded a high level probe into the murder.

GNLF today filed an FIR against nine GJM cadre in connection with the clash.
