Two people, including an NRI, sustained serious burn injuries after a cooking gas cylinder exploded in Subhash Nagar today. Both injured NRI Harmesh Lal(60) and Kamaljit(23) were admitted to local Gandhi Hospital in critical condition. Treating Doctor Satnam Singh Parmar said the condition of both injured was stable, but serious. The injured came here to attend a social function and were sleeping in a room in the house of their relative Mahant, when one of them noticed some bad smell from the kitchen. Injured Kamaljit said Harmesh asked him to see in the kitchen without switching on the light due to the flammable gas. But he used his mobile torch and the leaking gas caught fire and the gas cylinder bursted.
