New Delhi: A fire broke out in a medical equipment store in southeast Delhi’s Okhla area.
The fire broke out around 8.24 PM yesterday and 34 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, said an official from Delhi Fire Services.
The fire was brought under control by 3.40 AM today, he added.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained even though it is suspected that the blaze started due to a short- circuit, said a senior police officer.
In another incident, a fire broke out today in a wood shop located on Mata Sundri Road in central Delhi.
A call was received around 1.34 AM today and 13 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, said the official from Delhi Fire Services.
The fire was brought under control by 8.20 AM.
The owner of the shop alleged that someone had poured some inflammable material near his shop, police said.
No casualties or injuries were reported in the two fire incidents.
