With the mercury shooting up, the Central Power Distribution Company Ltd. announced power cut from March 1, keeping in view the weather conditions and electricity demand. In a notification APCPDCL stated that power supply is falling short of 50 million units to 70 million units per day as against its demand, in view of this it has been decide to implement power cut in two spells of one hour each in Greater Hyderabad limits.
Similarly 4 hour power cut will be implemented in district headquarters in two spells of two hours each. And in mandal head quarters power cut will be implemented for 8 hours in two spells of 4 hours each. A detailed area-wise power cut schedule is to be released shortly.
