In separate cases, two housewives committed suicide over trivial issues.
The 36-year-old woman, Anees Begum, succumbed to the burn injuries which she suffered after setting herself ablaze following an argument with her husband Hussain Zaidi over Rs 500/-. She took the extreme step at her residence in Barkas on January 20 and died at the Osmania General Hospital on Thursday night.
In a similar case, Jayashree, 46, committed suicide by setting herself ablaze after having an argument with her husband Srinu over some trivial issue. She resorted to the extreme step at her residence in Mettuguda on Thursday night and died at the Gandhi Hospital on Friday, according to Chilkalguda police. (INN)
