2 gamblers arrested in Samba district of J&K

Srinagar: Police has arrested two gamblers and recovered playing cards and Rs 72,000 cash from their possession in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Acting on specific information, police conducted a raid and arrested two persons and recovered playing cards and Rs 72,000 cash from their possession at Gudwal in Ramgarh area of Samba district last evening, a police officer said today.

The accused have been identified as Tarun Singh and Jagir Chand, he said, adding a case under Gambling Act has been registered against them.
