2 farmers killed and 4 injured as Police opens fire in Madhya Pradesh

Mandasur: Police in Madhya Pradesh has allegedly opened fire on farmers protesting for waiving of their loans also for demanding higher rates for their agricultural produce, killing two farmers and injuring four others on Tuesday said reports.

Similar protests by farmers are seen in other states in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh governed by BJP party. Farmers in Madhya Pradesh have been holding large protests demanding higher rates for Onions and Dal production.

Protesters pelted stones on Police personnel, burned vehicles, damaged shops. Internet services are also suspended in the western part of the State in Indore, Ujjain, Dewas.

12,000 liters of milk was wasted on Tuesday when it was emptied on roads from milk tankers. The State is now distressed with shortage of milk and vegetables due these protests. Several trucks have also been looted, DC reported.
