2-day power holiday from today for industries in TS

Keeping power shortage and needs of agriculture in view, Telangana Government has taken a decision to impose a two days power holidays a week for industries in the State.
Talking to press persons here, Raghurama Reddy, CMD, TSPDCL said that two days power holiday in a week to be implemented from Oct 8 onwards in the state. Taking cue from Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to ensure adequate power supply to the standing crops, the electricity department has taken this decision, he maintained. This will help the farmers get required power and ensure better yield he said.
Industries to face power holiday include IDA Bollaram on Monday and Tuesday and Patancheruvu and Pasha Mylaram on Wednesday and Thursday, he said. He also stated that the state is suffering a 25 million units loss of power production everyday. He appealed to the industries to cooperate with the department. (NSS)
