New Delhi, May 12: A Delhi court today convicted two Bangladeshi nationals for possessing explosives four years ago but acquitted them of the serious charge of being members of banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba and waging a war against the country.
Additional Sessions Judge S K Gautam held Alamgir Hussian Roni and Abdul Razzaq alias Aslam under the Explosive Substances Act.
The court absolved the two Bangladeshi nationals of the grave charges of waging a war against the country under IPC and being members of LeT under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act after the Delhi police failed to substantiate the allegations against them.
The court, which held the two guilty only under the provisions of the Explosive Substances Act, is expected to pronounce the sentence against them on May 17.
