New Delhi: Police have arrested two suspected members of the Manoj Bakarwala gang, who were allegedly involved in several cases of carjacking in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab.
The two accused — Sandeep Kumar (29) and Praveen Kumar (27) were arrested yesterday by the team of Special Cell.
The police received specific information of the duo coming to Loknayak Puram, Mundka, in a stolen white i-20 car.
A team was constituted and the duo arrested. A sophisticated semi-automatic and a country-made pistol along with seven live cartridges were seized from them, said Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell).
The i-20 car was found stolen from west Delhi’s Vikaspuri on May 31, he added.
