1st branch of Islamic Development Bank to be established in Gujarat

Hyderabad: Islamic Development Bank Jeddah has decided to expand its educational and welfare activities under which its first branch in India will be established in Gujarat. Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University who is hosting the delegation of Gulf Countries on government behalf of the government during the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Ahmedabad told Siasat news that it is honour for India that Islamic Development Bank has agreed to establish its branch in a non-member country.

Generally Islamic Development Bank carries out its activities in member countries however thanks to the efforts of Zafar Sareshwala, Islamic Development Bank has agreed to open its branch in Gujarat. During the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit , Saudi ambassador for India Saud Al-Sati announced to open first branch of Islamic Development Bank in Gujarat.
