1st batch of Hajj aspirants to setoff on Sept. 29

Hyderabad, August 7: A meeting of high officials belonging to various departments of state government was held at Shamsabad International Airport to review the arrangements and preparations for the departure of state Hajj aspirants to Saudi Arabia. The arrangements and measures to be taken for the convenience of Hajj aspirants as well as for their family members who would arrive to see off the aspirants were discussed on the occasion.

Hajj committee Chairman, Mr. Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed appealed to the airport authorities for effective arrangements keeping in view the bitter experiences of the past. Saudi airlines revealed that the departure of Hajj aspirants will begin from September 29 and will continue till October 16.

GMR officials were appealed to install conveyor belt at Hajj terminal so that it may be convenient to transfer the luggage of Hajj aspirants on their arrival and departure.

GMR officials agreed to install public telephone and public address system, construct shelter, arrange separate ablution house and prayer halls for men and women visitors, construct RTC bus shelters, provide canteen facility and install Hajj terminal direction board at airport.
