An 18-year-old girl has been allegedly gang-raped by two youths at Budhana town in the district, police said on Saturday.
According to the complaint lodged here, two youths took away the victim and raped her in a house on April 15. They also threatened her of dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone, they said.
Meanwhile, one of the accused Mustakim has surrendered in a court and has been sent to a judicial custody, they said.
A case has been registered and the victim after her medical examination has been produced in a court for recording her statement, police said.
Meanwhile, a group of people, including women protested on Friday evening by blocking a road near the district hospital demanding justice for the victim.
