As part of rescue operations, officials and staff at Beas river accident spot in Himachal Pradesh today fished out another body of a student. With this, the number of bodies traced so far is 17 and seven more bodies are yet to be found.
With the Telangana Government pressing the HP Government and Centre, rescue operations are on with expert swimmers using Sonar and advanced technology equipment. It may be recalled that 24 students of Hyderabad-based Vignan Jyothi Engineering College were washed away while taking photographs at the river side and unexpected floods washed them out.
Telangana Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, who is camping in Himachal Pradesh, said the hunt is on for tracing out the remaining seven bodies. “We will put in continuous efforts until they were fished out. Our personnel are closely watching the search operations”, Mahender Reddy stated. (NSS)
