Hyderabad, April 11: More than 1,700 pirated DVDs and CDs of newly released Telugu, Hindi and English movies were seized today from a video store in the Old City.
On information, South Zone Task Force sleuths raided Super Star Videos located at Gulzar Houz in early hours of Sunday and seized the pirated material. “We have nabbed the shop owner, Noor Mohammed from Gulzar Houz and seized 1,750 pirated DVDs and CDs of various new movies,’’ Task Force additional deputy commissioner of police M Srinivasulu said.
Noor Mohammed was purchasing the pirated material from Chennai for Rs 30 each and selling the same for Rs 75- Rs 100 in the city, Srinivasulu said.
Noor Mohammed along with seized goods was handed over to the Mir Chowk police for further action.
