Dubai, September 01: New feeder bus routes will be launched today ahead of the opening of Dubai Metro on September 9, the Roads and Transport Authority announced on Monday.
RTA Public Tranpsort Agency CEO Essa Abdul Rahman Al Dosari said 17 new feeder bus routes will help serve the stations Rashidiya, Financial Center, Mall of the Emirates and Nakheel Harbor & Tower at Dubai Marina.
Accordingly the number of routes of Bus Feeder Service of Dubai Metro Stations rises to 25 in which standard type buses are used.
New Routes
Route FI: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station to Rashidiya metro station via Nad Al Hummer. Six buses are deployed on this route to provide shuttle services from Saturday to Thursday, and the number of buses will be four on Fridays and holidays, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F2: Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station. Three buses are deployed on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and the number of buses will be two on Fridays and holidays, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F3: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station via West Midriff. Four buses are deployed on this route during all week days, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F4: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station via East Midriff. Six buses are deployed on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and the number of buses will be three during Fridays and holidays, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F5: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station via Mizhar. Six buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, 10 buses from Sunday to Thursday, and seven buses on Fridays and holidays, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F10: Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station via Al Warqa. Nine buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, seven buses from Sunday to Thursday, and 5 buses on Fridays and holidays, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F13: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Financial Center station. Four buses are deployed on this route on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays, while five buses are deployed from Sunday to Thursday, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F29: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Mall of the Emirates metro station via Al Barsha 2. Six buses are deployed on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and the number of buses will be five during Fridays and holidays, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F30: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Mall of the Emirates metro station via Arabian Ranches. Seven buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, six buses from Sunday to Thursday, and five buses on Fridays and holidays, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F31: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Mall of the Emirates metro station via Eastern Meadows. Eight buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, 11 buses from Sunday to Thursday, and six buses on Fridays and holidays, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F33: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Mall of the Emirates metro station via Al Barsha 3. Five buses are deployed on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and three on Fridays and holidays, at 10 minutes headway.
Route F37: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Nakheel Harbor & Tower metro station via Dubai Marina. Five buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays & Fridays, and seven buses from Sunday to Thursday, at 10 minutes headway.
On September 1 Public Transport Agency will also launch:
Route F6: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Dubai Airport Terminal 3 metro station via Al Tawar 3. Four buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, and 5 buses from Sunday to Thursday.
Route F7: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Dubai Airport Terminal three metro station via Al Garhoud 3. Four buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, and four from Sunday to Thursday.
Route F8: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Dubai Airport Terminal 3 metro station via Al Qusais 1. Five buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, and five buses from Sunday to Thursday.
Route F9: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Dubai Airport Terminal 3 metro station via Festival City. Four buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, and 5 buses from Sunday to Thursday. The routes heading for the Dubai International Airport Terminal (3) will run from 9am until 8pm.
Public Transport Agency has launched in mid August two Bus Feeder Routes for Dubai Metro Stations, namely:
Route F11: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Satwa Bus Station and Khazzan Park at that area passing through three metro stations namely Trade Center, Emirates Towers and Dubai International Financial Center. Five buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, 3 buses on Fridays and holidays, and five from Sunday to Thursday.
Route 48: From Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Ibn Battuta metro station via Dubai Investment Park. Twelve buses are deployed on this route on Saturdays, nine on Fridays and holidays, and 14
from Sunday to Thursday, at 10 minutes headway.
The Agency also launched (6) Bus Feeder routes on August 1.
Route F999: A free of charge service will be launched on September 5. It starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Nakheel Harbor & Tower metro station. Eleven buses are deployed on this route on all week days, at 10 minutes headway.
