New Delhi, April 13: A total of 17 judges and six additional judges were today appointed in four High Courts.
While Harish Tandon has been named a judge of the Calcutta High Court, Rajasthan High Court additional judges Kishan Swaroop Chaudhari, Mahesh Chandra Bhagwati and Chand Mal Totla were elevated as permanent judges in the same High Court.
Allahabad High Court additional judges Surendra Singh, Arvind Kumar Tripathi, Shashi Kant Gupta, Bala Krishna Narayana, Rajesh Dayal Khare, Shabihul Hasnain, Abhinava Upadhya, Suresh Chandra Chaurasia, Syed Nazim Husain Zaidi Ved Pal, Brahma Nand Shukla, Raj Mani Chauhan and Satish Chandra were also elevated as permanent judges.
An official statement also announced the appointment of Manmohan Singh, Rajiv Sahai Endlaw, Jag Jivan Ram Midha, Rajiv Shakdher, Sunil Gaur and Mool Chand Garg as additional judges of the Delhi High Court.
