London: A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for attempted murder on his mother, 42,during breakfast. She was stabbed multiple times in her back, neck and shoulder on Friday morning.
She managed to stagger from her home to a house three doors away where she raised the alarm. Her neighbours called 999 and an air ambulance, paramedics and police arrived at the address in Barrens Close.
The victim was shifted to St. George’s Hospital in Tooting, London and her son was arrested at the scene.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said: “Officers attended Barrens Close in Woking at around 9.35am yesterday following concerns for the safety of a woman at an address.
“On police arrival a woman believed to be aged in her 40s, was found with multiple stab wounds to her back. She was taken to St. George’s Hospital in a serious condition. A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.”
A spokesman added : ”The air ambulance wasn’t required for transporting the patient, just for additional help at the scene.”She was still in hospital on Saturday in a serious but stable condition.
