The State Government on Thursday reconstituted the Andhra Pradesh State Hajj Committee. A GO has been issued in this connection. As per Hajj Committee Act 2012 16-member committee was formed. Special Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel issued GO Rt No 47 comprising the names of members. Shaikh Mastan Vali (MLA), Shaikh Hussain (MLC), Farooq Hussain (MLC), have been appointed under MLA and MLC quota. While the names of Shaikh Shareef (Khairatabad Corporator), Mohammed Ayub Khan (Sanathnagar Corporator), Athar Humayun Basha (Piler Sarpanch), Maulana Syed Shah Fazlullah Quadri Al Mooswi @ Murshad Pasha, Dr. Syed Hameeduddin Quadri @ Hameeduddin Sharfi, Dr. Maulana Nisar Hussain Hyder Agha, Shaikh Mohammed Ibrahim, S Mohammed Rafi, Maulana Rahamathullah Khan, M Abdul Qayyum and Mahmood Hussain @ Mahmood Engineer have also been included in the list.
The Chairperson of AP State Waqf Board will also be a member while the SHC Executive Officer will be the Ex- Officio Member & Convener. The committee has been constituted for a period of 3 years. As per the rules the members can elect the chairman within 40 days after the constitution of the committee.
