16 laptops worth Rs 5.5 lakh was recovered from notorious burglar by the Cyberabad police and arrested him on Tuesday.
Syed Tabrez from Golnaka in Amberpet and his aide, Mohammed Shoeb, had stolen 16 laptops from men’s hostels at Chaitanyapuri, LB Nagar and Saoornagar areas in the past six months.
The two sold the looted laptops at computer shops in CTC, Secunderabad.
Tabrez was arrested by Central Crime Station team of Saroornagar from his house on Tuesday. Based on his confession, they seized 16 laptops from merchants at CTC. The second accused is AWOL.
