A clash between Afghan security forces and the Taliban left at least 15 militants and a security personnel dead, and seven others injured in Ghazni province Sunday, an official said.
“Security forces launched cleanup operations in Gadakhil area of Muqar district to stabilise security on Kabul-Kandahar highway and killed 15 militants,” Shafiq Nang, spokesman for Ghazni’s provincial government, told Xinhua.
Five militants and two security personnel sustained injuries. The rest of the militants fled leaving 15 bodies behind.
