Greater Noida: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly set ablaze after raping her on a terrace of her house in a village in Gautam Buddh Nagar district yesterday.
The girl is struggling for life at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. Her body is burnt with 95% injuries.
Police reported that a 20-year-old man from the village has been arrested for interrogation.
According to medical report, the girl was brought to hospital with 95% burns. It is also reported that as her genitalia is burnt severely, medical examination to confirm rape is not possible.
According to the police, the incident took place around 2.30 am yesterday. When her parents heard the cries of the girl, they rushed to the terrace and found the girl in a burnt state. She was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi.
She was a student of X class. She left the school last year due to the alleged harassment by a 20-year-old youth. After she discontinued her studies, she was sent to a computer science institute. The youth continued to stalk her there also. When the parent noticed it, they asked her to stay away at home.
