Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana has approved the lease of 11 wakf properties for a period of 30 years. This was disclosed by Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare. He said that 30 Wakf properties were identified for leasing out but only 11 properties have been approved for the lease. He advised the Govt. to enhance the period of lease up to 30 years, so that interested parties should come forward to invest money.

These 11 properties include complex adjacent to Hajj House admeasuring 3700 sq. yards, open land admeasuring 3500 sq. yards adjacent to Hajj House, Chowkhandi near Towlichowki admeasuring 1500 sq. yards, Outer Ring Road junction admeasuring one acre, 10 acre land opposite GMR Aerospace Park, land admeasuring 6000 acres belonging to Dargah Hazrat Barhana Shah, Moin Manzil, Abids admeasuring 2000 sq. yards, land admeasuring 1.20 acre of Alamgir masjid, Hi-tech city, Task Force office land admeasuring 1500 sq. yards, land admeasuring 500 sq. yards opposite Shadaan College, Khairtabad, 10 acre land in Survey number 99/1 located at Mamidipalli.
