Minister Tribal Development and Culture A Chandulal today said that the government has decided to set up 15 Degree Residential colleges for Tribal Girls in the state.
Addressing a press conference here the minister said that these colleges will be opened from next academic year. The officials were asked to make arrangements for necessary buildings as the colleges are being set up based on demand. Faculty and staff will be recruited on outsourcing basis initially and then on permanent basis in future he said. In the wake of the Tribal girls are deprived of higher education after completion of Intermediate the government has taken a decision to start degree colleges which will have all facilities like library and laboratories besides supplying cosmetics to the girls through KCR Kits. Arrangements are also being made to see that the text books and note books are distributed on time before the academic year begins the minister stated.
