New Delhi, January 07: Swine flu cases in the city reached the 9,523 mark after 15 people tested positive for the disease today.
“Of the total 15 positive cases, five were of children.
With this, the total number of swine flu cases reported till date has reached the 9,523 mark,” Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia said.
She also said till date 5,322 children have been affected by H1N1 virus causing the disease.
No deaths were reported today. The toll due to the flu in the city till date is 76, Walia said.
She, however, said the situation is under control and the government is doing its best in providing treatment to H1N1 patients in government hospitals.
According to the WHO, India continues to report maximum number of cases of swine flu in the south east Asian region.
