15 Iraqi policemen killed in car Blast

Baghdad, May 05: At least 15 Iraqi police officers have lost their lives after an explosive-laden car blew up in the city of Hilla south of Baghdad, a police commander says.

Another 25 police officers were also wounded in the Thursday morning incident, AFP reported.

The new bombing took place after another bomb blast killed nine civilians and injured about 30 others in the Shia enclave of Doura in south Baghdad on Tuesday.

The bomb was planted in a car and ripped through a crowded market.
