New Delhi: Union Minister Mr. Nityanand Rai informed Rajya Sabha that during the past five years, Govt. of India imposed a ban on 14,500 NGOs from receiving foreign funds.
He also informed that under the Foreign Currency Regulation Act (FCRA), the registration of 1808 NGOs has been canceled. He mentioned that during 2018-19 the registered NGOs received Rs. 2,244.71 crore foreign money.
