In yet another shocking incident, a 14-year-old schoolgirl died after her smartphone exploded on her pillow while she was sleeping, Daily Mail reports.
The incident is reported from Kazakhstan where Alua Asetkyzy Abzalbek went to bed listening to music in her village home in Bastobe.
The girl was found dead the next morning with the phone’s battery having exploded close to her head as she left her phone on charging lugged into the power socket.
Forensic reports later confirmed that the mobile exploded in the early morning due to overheating while her death was described as a ‘tragic accident’, according to local reports.
Her best friend Ayazhan Dolasheva, 15, posted: ‘I still cannot believe it.’
She wrote: ‘You were the best. We have been together since childhood. It is so hard for me without you. I miss you so much. You have left me forever.’
