As many as 14 test tube babies were born in a single day on Tuesday at a private nursing home at Karimnagar town in Andhra Pradesh. The eight women who were pregnant gave birth to 14 babies. One woman gave birth to triplets while 4 women delivered twins and the remaining three pregnant women delivered one baby each.
The nursing home has created a record, as this may be the first incident of the state that 14 test tube babies have been born in a single nursing home.
Nursing home administration said that the childless couples from Adilabad, Nizamabad, Bhimgal and Karimnagar district after going to various places arrived here and they conceived with the help of the In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) technique. One among the women is said to be of 55 years of age.
Of the test tube babies born on Tuesday, 4 are baby girls while 10 are baby boys and their health is good. They have been kept in the incubators.
