Earlier on Sunday, at least 11 people were killed and 20 others wounded in a fresh mortar attack launched by armed rebels in Salamieh town of Hama province, state media reported.
Some other media reports said the attack came just hours after the rebels detonated a car bomb at a government troops’ checkpoint in the west of Salamieh.
A day earlier, at least four people were killed when a car bomb tore through the Thawra roundabout in Hama.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said four civilians were killed Sunday in an airstrike in Jalbeh village in Al-Raqqa province.
