14 members from same family wiped out in Aleppo airstrikes

Washington D.C., [United States]: With the airstrikes on Aleppo in Syria garnering massive outrage the across the globe, a particular horrific incident of 14 people from the same family being wiped out at once has struck a particularly painful note, depicting the sheer horror of the bombings.

Quoting activist group Aleppo Media Center, CNN reported that fourteen members of the same family — including two infants and eight other children — were killed.

At least 45 people have been killed since Sunday in the airstrikes in two neighborhoods in Aleppo.

More than 30 people were killed in airstrikes that hit the Al-Qaterji neighborhood Sunday night.

Monday morning another round of airstrikes killed 14 more people in the al-Marjah neighborhood, all from one family and among them, a pair of six-week-old infants and an eight year old, AMC said.

The death toll has continued to mount as Russians continued to bolster the Syrian army’s air attack, after Moscow vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution Saturday to halt the action in Aleppo and allow access for humanitarian aid. (ANI)
