Govt. of Telangana promoted 14 IPS Officers. Mr. Govind Singh, Mr. Anjani Kumar and Mr. Ravi Gupta of IPS batch of 1990 were promoted as Additional DGP. Mr. Vijay Kumar, Mr. Y. Nagi Reddy, Mr. D.S. Chowhan, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jain, Mr. N. Surya Narayana and Thakur Murugesh Kumar Singh of 1997 batch of IPS who were holding the holding the rank of DIG have been promoted as IGP. Dr. A. Sabarwal, Mr. Sudheer Babu, Dr. T. Prabhakar, Mr. C. Ravi Verma and Mr. P. Pramod Kumar of 2001 IPS batch who were holding the posts of SPs were promoted as DIG of Police.
