Riyadh, August 22: As many as 1,392 expatriates having different nationalities have embraced Islam at Cooperative Dawa and Guidance Office in Riyadh’s Suwaidi District, according to a report issued by the office.
Abdul Rahman Al-Ajlan, director of the office, said his organization had distributed 19,789 copies of the Qur’an, 59,250 copies of Islamic cassettes in Arabic and other languages and 15 million copies of booklets and pamphlets among the public.
“Last year we distributed iftar meals among 40,000 people during Ramadan,” Al-Ajlan said. “This year also we intend to distribute iftar meals among a large number of people, especially expatriates.” The office appoints learned scholars to give Islamic lectures during the holy month.
