New Delhi, August 24: As many as 137 fresh cases of swine flu were reported today from across the country taking the total count since its outbreak to 2,909.
While Delhi reported 38 cases, Tamil Nadu had 45, and Maharashtra 28.
Kerala reported 10, Karnataka nine, Andhra Pradesh (Hyderabad) and Jammu & Kashmir three each and Goa one.
Of the total cases reported today, six cases have history of foreign travels. The rest are indigenous cases.
A total of 15,467 people have been tested so far out of which 2,909 are found positive for swine flu. As many as 858 out of those 15,467 people tested have been identified through entry screening, 2,113 through contact tracing and the rest reported voluntarily.
