Government of Telangana has given approval for creation of 134 supernumerary posts of DSP in Telangana. Secretary Home department N Shiv Shankar issued orders in this connection. Home department had appealed to government to create 134 supernumerary posts of DSP to avoid reversion to the 40 existing DSP and also to effect promotions to the 92 inspectors due to revision of seniority of inspectors. Accepting the proposal the government issued orders.
