Telangana Minorities Welfare Department today informed that the State-level selection committee for selecting eligible applications for grant of scholarship under the “Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities” has shortlisted 132 candidates for award of the scholarship. It includes 108 men and 24 women. Each of these students will be granted a scholarship of Rs 20 lakh plus one way Airfare.
The list includes 119 Muslims, 12 Christians and one Jain student. The department has clarified that no application was received from the Sikhs, Buddhists and Parsis. The selected list is available on the website www.telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in (NSS)
