A 13-year-old girl was allegedly molesting in the hospital in north Delhi by two employees of Aruna Asaf Ali Government Hospital have been arrested on Sunday.
According to police, the victim was undergoing treatment for anaemia and was molested in a toilet of the hospital.
The accused have been identified as Raj and Jitendra, who was employed as cleaners on contract basis.
It is said that the girl had gone to the toilet to wash some utensils when she was molested by the two men on March 16. In her complaint to police, she claimed that Raj and Jitendra closed the main door of the toilet when she was alone.
She raised an alarm when they tried to sexually harass her. Hearing the hullabaloo, a youth knocked on the door, due to which the accused terrified. They opened the door and tried to run away, but the youth nabbed Jitendra.
Police said the girl lives with family in north Delhi’s Wazirabad and has been undergoing treatment at the hospital for some time.
Police registered a case against Raj and Jitendra with Civil Lines police station. They also face charges under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
