Mogadishu: At least 13 police officers on Thursday lost their lives after a suicide bomber in police uniform blew himself up inside a police training camp in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
Several media reports say that the militant Somali-based insurgent al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
Al Shabaab carries out frequent bombings in Mogadishu and other towns.
Earlier in October, more than 500 people were killed in the massive twin truck bombings in Somalia’s capital.
The officials called the explosion as one of the deadliest attacks to hit the capital, Mogadishu, since an Islamist insurgency began in 2007. (ANI)
