128 IAS for TS, 166 for AP

More than six months after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the allocation of All India Services (AIS) officers was lastly done by the Centre.

The allocation of officers is in 13:10 ratio between AP and TS. 294 IAS officers were allocated to AP and 211 IPS to TS.

The total authorised strength of IAS officers is 374, whereas the number of officers at present working is 294. 166 IAS officers have been apportioned to AP and 128 to TS from 294.

The total authorised strength of undivided cadre of AP for IPS officers is 256 and only 211 are officiating currently. The Centre apportioned 119 IPS officers to AP and 92 to TS.

Five IAS officers were allocated a temporary basis either to TS or AP till the Centre decides their cases.
A Santhi Kumari (TS), A Vani Prasad (TS), V Karuna (TS) and Prashanti (TS),JS Venkateswara Prasad (AP) are the five IAS officers of united cadre of AP.

The Department of Personnel and Training termed the allocation provisional and the final list will be published shortly after considering objections, if any.

DoPT will open a separate window on its website for 15 days for officers to register if they are having any objections.
