One man was arrested and 1.25 kg of brown sugar, worth Rs one crore in the international market, was seized from him in a train, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, railway police, along with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), searched the Pratapgarh
Express at the Vidisha railway station and recovered the drug from the suitcase of one Dinesh Yadav (35) last evening, railway police said.
Dinesh, the drug-peddler hailing from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh, was carrying the contraband to his native place
from Mandsaur.
A case has been registered against the accused under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, police said,
adding further investigation is on.
