Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said that the State Government would soon provide up to 12 per cent reservation to Scheduled Tribes in Telangana State.
Replying to a query raised by MLA Thati Venkateswarlu and Payam Venkateswarlu during Question Hour in the State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that the government had constituted the Telangana Tribes Advisory Council on August 18 and is also in the process of constitution of Telangana state Commission for Scheduled Tribes to aid and advise the government in the implementation of all major schemes of the Tribal population and in other aspects of their advancement.
“The proposed enhancement of reservation will be implemented at the earliest,” the Chief Minister assured. (INN)
