Hyderabad: Governor of Telangana and AP, Mr. E. S. L. Narasimhan overlooked 12% reservation issue for Muslim in his Assembly address delivered on 12th March.
In the Governor’s address, many important issues pertaining to the Muslims and the promises made by the Government were not included. Although there were descriptions about various welfare schemes, there was no mention of 12% reservation for Muslims and 10% for STs.
It is very surprising to note that the description of welfare schemes of 12% minorities was confined only to eight lines in Governor’s address. There were also no details of the amounts allocated for welfare schemes for minorities.
Muslim members of both the houses expressed their disappointment over Governor’s address but they refrained from expressing their thoughts openly.
