12% reservation for Muslims – Debate likely in T-Assembly

Hyderabad: TDP MLAs, Mr. Prakash Goud and other submitted a question in T-Assembly on 12% reservation to Muslims. Although, this has not been included on the agenda, it is likely that it would be done so any time during any working day.

Authentic sources indicated that Govt. of Telangana has sought a reply on this question from the Department of Minorities Welfare in which there is a mention of formulation of Commission of Enquiry. After receiving the report of this commission, it is being included in the reply to this question.

In case debate takes place on this issue during question hour in Assembly, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Dy. CM of Telangana State will respond to this question on behalf of Mr. KCR. It seems that the campaign started by Siasat Urdu Daily for getting 12% reservation to Muslims is causing an effect on the proceedings of the affairs of Assembly. TDP members raised this issue first. It is likely that Congress MLAs and the members of leftist parties would also decide to make themselves part of this debate. However, the original question was submitted by TDP members. The names of other members could be included in the list afterwards.
