The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is providing around 11000 Electronic voting Machines for the forthcoming GHMC elections, said GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday after launching training for the officials.
While interacting with the officials during the training session, the Commissioner said that the training was being given to the officials for smooth conduct of the election work. The officials must know the working process of the Electronic Voting Machines so that the citizens can franchise their vote without any inconvenience. Training is being imparted to the Presiding and Assistant Presiding officers.
The Commissioner stated that the list of the employees from State and Central Government from Medak, Mahabub Nagar, Nalgonda and Hyderabad Districts have been called for deputing them to work for the ensuing GHMC elections. The GHMC has taken up some of the slums where the officials of GHMC are imparting training to the slum dwellers to give them an idea on how to cast their vote.
Additional Commissioner Shankaraiah, senior officials from GHMC and as well as ECIL have participated in the training programme. (INN)
